Questionnaire Analysis

Questionnaire Analysis

·         In response to the first question, 65% of the respondents were female, and 35% were male.
·         95% of people did not read the college magazine
o   The product evidently did not work and has failed to reach its target audience.
·
The most popular colours chosen by the respondents were Blue, Black, and White.
o   Possible backup colours are Red, Yellow and Green.
·
85% of people say that they will spend between nothing and 50p for the magazine
o   The price should not rise above 50p, however if it were to gain popularity and sales increased, a possible price increase way be viable.
·
70% said that they would want the magazine to be produced monthly, or every half term.
o   This is a fair response, as if it were to be on a more regular basis, the level or quality of content would be much lower.
·
50% of respondents said they would prefer that the magazine be informal, whereas 40% believe it should be a mix of formal and informal.
o   Though an informal magazine has a majority, it is wise to cater to the other 40%, as they will make up a large part of sales. A good plan would be to make it largely informal and to include a few serious articles.
·
The main themes that the respondents chose were Music (11), College Trips (9), and Free Gifts (7).
o   Other popular themes were Sport (7), Fashion (7), and Technology (6).
·
50% of people wanted a picture of a student to be on the front cover of the magazine, while 30% wanted it to be a Celebrity and 30% wanted it to be Nature.
o   Maybe interchange between the three options each month to appeal to more.

·
100% said they wanted a jobs page.
This shows that our target audience are all young looking for jobs.
